The University Lodge of Chester's Norman Jinks teamed up with Ron Evans from the Teddies for Loving Care Appeal at the annual CSU Welcome Fair. Also joining the team was Sue O'Neil from the Order of Women Freemasons. During the day several thousand fresher students passed through the Fair held in the main sports hall at the Exton Campus.
On offer on the ULoC/ TLC stand was a chance to find out more about the TLC Appeal and how it is funded by donations from Freemasons. Two Teddy Bears donated by the TLC Appeal were offered as prizes in a free draw.
The lucky winners Alex and Chloe were presented with their prize bears the following Wednesday in the Campus Cafe.
It was a surprise to hear from Chloe that she was about to start a nursing course at the University and remembered a time when she received a TLC bear whilst attending her local hospital A & E department.
University of Chester would like to thank the Chester Student Union for their help and providing the stand at the 2023 Welcome Fair and hope to see them next year.
